Each Token is both a unique greetings card and a small work of art: a square, hand-folded parcel that opens layer by layer to reveal illustrations, details, and messages within. Write your message in the centre, fold and either keep for yourself or give to someone deserving.
Each pack comes with two paper keepsakes, a practice sheet and instructions. The paper sheets measure 160mm x160mm. The designs are printed on traditional laid paper.
This design focuses on capturing as many of the special details as possible from the wonderful trove that is Strawberry Hill House and Garden.
Elements from Horace Walpole’s bed feature on the back, alongside carefully copied details from the stained glass windows, woven into the overall pattern. Illustrations of the house appear throughout the design, interlaced with motifs taken from the fireplace in the Round Room.
On the outside of the keepsake is a copy of a Georgian illustration, in which two passers-by point out the house as they stroll through the surrounding area.
Like Strawberry Hill itself, the purse layers decoration and symbolism, inviting the holder to unfold it slowly and discover its details piece by piece.
